Friday afternoon comes around and it hasn’t been a bad week. Finally Nat was back from her honeymoon and could come visit me at lunchtime which really got me through the rest of the day! Just as I’m packing up the site Jim (my boss) pulls me out to the side away from the rest of the crew. “Hey listen I’ve got a little deck I need built that’ll involve some extra cash.” He said. “What’s the catch?” I asked. “It’s about 4 hours down south at Michelle and I’s vacation home on the lake.” He said. “Jesus Jim! 4 hours?!” I said confused. “I’ll pay you double for the hours you work! I need it done asap! You’ll need more than one day down there so you’ll have to stay a few nights but I need you there Monday. I want it looking perfect and you’re my best carpenter! Please, I’ll throw in a nice bonus at the end of the year!”. I sighed and said “Let me ask Bella. I’ll have to make sure she’ll be okay without me with the baby and all!”. Jim frowned and said “I need to rely on you for these things. Don’t let me down or I’ll have to start putting my faith in other people! Get back to me tonight!”.
